University of Colorado's
Global Medical Brigade

Global Medical Brigades (GMB) is a sub-program of Global Brigades, Inc., the world's largest student-led global healthcare and sustainable development organization. Comprised of secular, international service programs, we mobilize student volunteers and professionals to help communities in developing countries with programs that improve the quality of life while respecting the local culture.

The University of Colorado Global Medical Brigades helps develop sustainable health initiatives and provides relief where there is limited access to healthcare. Our chapter of GMB is comprised primarily of CU students who work hard for months in advance to prepare for the yearly brigade. On each brigade, students embark on daily brigades to a number of isolated villages throughout Honduras, Panama, and Nicaragua to set up temporary medical clinics.

CU currently has an active Medical Brigade and Dental Brigade and has begun organizing a Public Health Brigade, and Business Brigade for the 2014 school year. To learn more about how we prepare for the Brigade and what we do on the Brigade, please visit our other pages!
